Proficiency level required: 
Beginner and up



You should have turned a very basic bowl a couple of times to have a bit of familiarity on hollowing out a vessel. Everything else will be explained and demonstrated in this class. We also have three very accomplished assistants, so all student can get a lot of help. Please come with sharp tools. (See Picture)

Two turning blanks band sawn round and pre drilled

Awl (pointed and sharp)

Roughing gauge

Bedan

3/8 inch Sindle gauge

3/4 inch round nose negative rake scrapers

1/2 inch and / or 3/8 inch bowl gauge

Outside calipers

Depth finder (a stick of wood with a hole and a dowel would work)

Center-finder

Small ruler

Half sheet of 150 grit sandpaper
